Is it possible to block PMs from a specific person?

I have recently received bad rep from someone - this is fine, and to be expected ...

However, the ensuing PMs have been unpleasant and I would like to block this member - is this possible?

..not sure if you can block a single user from PMing you..but if you feel harassed, you can report the PM.

Re: Is it possible to block PMs from a specific person?

It appears you can limit PM's from only contacts and mods. This would also restrict genuine PM's from anyone else -- good or bad.

Click on Control Panel>Edit Options (from Settings and Options)>then see Messaging and Notification box>check/uncheck (as applicable) under Private Messaging.

I think if you put someone on your ignore list then they cannot PM you.

you've got a ignore list in your control panel. But you will hide also what that person posts on the forum

Re: Is it possible to block PMs from a specific person?

If you put the person on your ignore list, you will see that you have a PM from him/her but you won't be shown the title or text unless you specifically click to read it.

I think that's as close as you're going to get.

EDIT: Tried this out (thanks to mirfield for the help!) and you won't even receive PMs from someone on your ignore list. Any PMs you already have from that person will be hidden as I described above; new ones after that will simply not be delivered.

I wouldn't have thought she would do that sort of thing. As was said earlier, just block them and move on.
