Oh Boy, I don't know if I have been here for far too long but Zurich would certainly never cross my mind as the capital of Switzerland. It is like saying that Johannesburg is the capital of RSA or New York city is the capital of USA. I know Switzerland, Sweden and Swaziland might correlate to the same places for some of us but you cannot fool me. I know it for sure because I read it somewhere in the local paper I think it must have been 20min.
I agree, we all know Cape Town is capital of SA and Seattle, Washington is capital of the US and Canada

Actually, the following is the correct answer in terms of the capitals classification:

Pretoria - executive
Blomfontein - judicial
Cape Town - legislative

Lots of people think that Geneva is the capital. But it is, in fact, Zurich.

The confusion adds to the efficacy of the spam filter.

We will have to wait to find out where the results from the Swiss jury come from in the Eurovision Song Contest this year !

Bet ya its Bern..............as it always is!

Can we assume that after seeing this former Thread and reading this one, the more regular visiters to EF now realise what these questions are for. It would be nice to avoid a new Thread every time changes have to be made.

We don't have to be the capital to be the best.

Probably because it's Switzerland's best kept secret. Basel only erected the ugly industrial areas to put people off coming and finding out how effing awesome it is here

A link to this old thread seems appropriate:

With all this talk on the other thread about "Forum Angels" you have to wonder who Ed.Bob's "favourite" is.

that could be a whole 'nother thread itself.
