How to copy and paste including formatting

How come when I see some people copy/pasting stuff into posts, they include all formatting and hyperlinks?

This is especially clear when somebody copies the RSVP list from an event and the bullets, bolds, italics and hyperlinks to the user are all intact.

When I copy/paste I just get plain text. Am I missing a trick?

It depends on the browser. If I'm at home on my Mac, Safari pastes as plain text but at work on MS Explorer it pastes as WYSIWYG.

Re: Copy/Paste Including Formatting

It depends on your forum settings, whether you have chosen to use the standard editor or the WYSIWYG editor.

To change settings, go to this page...

Control panel -> Edit options

...scroll towards the bottom, and look under "Miscellaneous Options / Message Editor Interface".
