I can't believe you actually think that because some 'noob' has a complaint or issue, you think they can't survive in the real world!

I have been around this planet working in some places you would be mortified with for 23 years and you have the audacity to imply that people like me who have a concern should grow a new skin, learn to deal with it or go elsewhere !

Some of you have NO idea about life. Just stop the smarmy, pointless, rude and unsympathetic comments please.

Another post tonight from a lady who had relationship issues. Who said in a nutshell that she was looking for some advice, support or understanding backed off after she was told basically "go find a divorce lawyer". You think that's funny? Or smart? Point proven yet again I think!
Don't take it personal, its hard for all of us when we arrive in a new country but tell me on all your travels, one country where no one has bullied you.

Be it at your new job, a random stranger or using public transport.

That didn't hold you back didn't it?

Regarding the lawyer, that wasn't me and THAT is the work of a bully..

Actually, I think that was quite wise advice, given that a lawyer is likely to know more about her legal rights in the situation she describes than a bunch of faceless know-nothings on the internet.

But don't let common sense get in the way of your rant, old chap...

or herself :-) Just saying.

Nil can we be friends?
Honestly, give it a rest. Look at the forum how big and shiny it is, you can have plenty of little friends in here. You don't need my attention.

You have been on my back for the last 2-3 weeks and I have been shutting my mouth. Now walk away and stop your little game. Really! I red rep you because I think you deserved it and I will use it again if in my opinion I believe you deserve it. Same use with the greens by the way... The rep system is there to be used if you want to. It isn't real life, get over it. I get red rep too and I don't make a goal to follow someone and make it a vendetta.

FYI when someone puts you on their ignore list, everytime someone quotes you, we can see it even when on the ignore list. It makes this fonction pretty useless....

Here we go again. A metathread about bullying and stuff. I really don't care much. If somebody is being racist on the forum just speak up. I am swiss and find the complaints section amusing because most of it it's exactly what I experience with swiss people. If I have a problem with that I will write or shut up. Not being a native english speaker helps because you think twice before posting anything. It's the Internet, it's here for a few years now. People maybe should know by now how you can use it. The lack of being able to research easy things it's incredible.

You will only have problems with bullying on the internet if you are not aware of what you are and how you feel. Then it is maybe better to turn off your PC and go out to meet real people.

I think the OPs were asking why it is Mod sanctioned, and alluded that it appears to be Mod condoned by closing a thread about it.

I think around here, the best outcome is for the NooB to grow a new layer of skin.

The forum is still quite a great place for information, and entertainment. As for entertainment.... well... Bees go to Honey, Flies go to poop.

When one user began to make physical threats by PM, I simply reported the offensive messages and the user was permanently banned.

No fuss, no hysterics, no whining. Just a click, followed by swift, decisive and efficient action.

He still hasn't come to find me at any events, either...
No antagonising on you part then? Just totally unprovoked, a poster decided to threaten you? What was he so angry about?

This actually sounds like an example of what some of us are not happy about: a bit of teasing, taunting, and before you know it someone gets nasty through a sense of frustration. Perhaps if the taunting stopped, then the frustration levels would not rise. It is perfectly possible to have a conversation, discussion, give information, even give advice, without using sarcasm, taunting, teasing, or any other negative retorts.

See, I think arguing with Mods on the forum is like arguing with the bouncers in front of a club: do it, if you feel like but don't expect that you get in. Too much drama in here sometimes.

We see this place in a very different angle. I have made real friends in here. Many people are glad to meet me for the first time as I am to meet them. I have been lucky to meet some bigs hearts who believe that I am a enough decent person to give me time, energy and trust. I have someone who thought I was enough decent person to make something for my cravings and send it over by mail. I have other people on this forum who never met me, who live at the opposite of Switzerland and who are ready to give their time and energy to help me out when the time will come.

Why I take this so serious? Because it is real people in here. Real big fluffy hearts ready to give and who doesn't ask anything in return. Did you meet those kind of people in here? It is full! And how lucky I am to have them helping me out.

I have people here to foul around with. They are funny, cool and I like to see them, to meet them. So I am not that so serious. But I am not hiding being a name or a fake person. I don't need to.

It is much more fun like this.

Cool. We're having a killer argument here. It's sounds good if you don't think about it.

If you think that a forum or/and a night club is the same as living in a country run by a dictator you may have a point. But if you take in account what the real impact on your life is you maybe differentiate your actions.

100 posts huh? Must have had my can opener out!

I apologise if I was ranting earlier but at the same time want to thank a lot of the people for making some very valid points from BOTH sides of the fence.

Whether some of you think the same as you did at the start of this thread or not remains to be seen? In saying that, I think it is important for everybody to have their say (liked or not) and perhaps all learn a little.

I am shattered and in 4 hours will be falling out of bed again!
I wish you ALL a good night, sleep well.
