| | Keep getting logged out
Not sure if there are some technical issues going on today as I saw the server was down earlier but I am also getting booted out and having to log back in (this just happened now when i clicked to go to page 2 of the new posts)
Just thought i'd flag it in case something is a miss and hasn't been picked up on

My computer lost EF for a short while around lunch time. I got the 'Database error' message.

This happens to me when I "accidentally" access EF through a VPN on a particular browser. The log in session appears to be stored with a cookie. Disallowing cookies could prevent session tracking.

I could try a different browser but I am using the browser i always use and it's always worked fine so must be some technical glitch happening maybe linked to the database error earlier

I've analysed the logs and it appears you were triggering a "1109 Too much awesomeness"error.

We're working on it with his Forum addiction counsellor.

I've not encountered your problem, however, I use Mozilla Firefox, this deals with most problems...maybe....though I'm not an IT buff.

Just thought i'd flag it in case something is a miss and hasn't been picked up on | | | | | There's a number of potential causes for this.
First off it could have simply been a result of the database outage you saw.
Secondly it could be a cache/cookie problem, in which case clear your cache and cookies as other people have already mentioned.
Thirdly your router/modem could have negotiated a completely different IP address for your connection. If logged in user suddenly switches IP addresses then the forum will ask you to log in again. I've noticed this when I switch from a 3G connection to a WiFi connection or vice versa.
