Can I ask why this thread here is in Transportation/Driving rather than Off-topic?

I've got nothing against the thread but I'm sure we've all got car stories to share as well which also ought to be in off-topic.

Each Forum subsection has general guidelines in the form of stickies. They don't always define what can and what ought not be posted, but users can get an idea of what's appropriate.

It's really no big deal if something gets shifted to a different Forum. As long as there's mileage - see what I did there? - in a thread, it'll get responses and thus prove helpful. Mods move threads to make it easier for others to find info. We usually do ok and ask Members to apply their intelligence.

Not really. You've created a thread out of nothing because your thread was moved and nobody, not even you, really cares. We can all find the thread, and you're asking whether you're allowed to sell your order on Monday anyway, so it really really doesn't matter. But you seem so angry and hard done by and there's no time like the present to kick a mod, so why not?

The original thread and this one really just seems like an effort to announce your special new toy. It's great and all that, but just announce it. Don't start a thread about a car that you won't name but that hasn't been released yet but will be at a car show etc etc You know people are going to ask, which they immediately did, and you immediately answered. It's just boring man. Hence the zzzz's

Well, it could be seen to be more relevent to contract law than transportation itself, but 50 / 50 either way. In answer to your question - and in some way the OPs - we're still trying to perfect the place and make it easier for people to find info. Just, I dunno, it would be a bit of a waste of a Friday night and this repeat of QI is very funny.

I'm sure some far sighted soul will quietly adapt the relevent areas and nobody will notice the effort expended and by small degrees people will be happier than before.
