Question to all the complainers in this forum

I been following this forum for some time and noticed that there is a large number people who are put it lightly dissatisfied with living in Switzerland.
Since all of them are foreigners and majority from English speaking countries why not move on? life is too short. Lots of Brits immigrate to Australia Canada, US.
Bigger pay cheque is worth all the misery? ,personally I love nice outdoors and warm weather, and also I think that integration with the locals is one of the most important factors for living comfortably, looks like it is not so easy in Switzerland, for what you say you could easily live in UAE and be as much isolated

Complaining to the complainers will only cause more complaints.

It's a fair question but some people, like me, would complain where ever they lived. They just happen to live here. Look, the sun is shining! Woohoo!

Why don't you look on the forum and you'll see plenty of existing thread about the same exact thing you bring this morning?

I am not sure if I am more annoyed to see complains over and over again or thread about people who feel the need to give lesson to those who complains...

We complain loudly, because if we didn't things would NEVER get any better here!

When I arrived 21 years ago most shops were closed from 2 pm Saturday until 1 pm on Monday. You could not visit the cinema because the last bus was at 11 pm. There were no roundabouts, only one Indian restaurant - at Jeffreys in Basel, few Macdonalds, no custard powder, few spice shops, people personally imported coffee and baked beans. An air ticket to Europe cost at least Fr 400,-- ! Even as I write, the trucks are delivering soft brown sugar to secret warehouses, - and 20 years ago the ladies in Appenzeller could not vote!

So just be grateful somebody stood up and shouted "We are not completely happy here"

Hi OP

Not all members of the forum are foreigners - a small percentage are Swiss / Swiss dual nationals.

Re: Question to all the complainers in this forum

I am not trolling just feel the people I am myself a big complainer, lived in few countries and currently living in a dreadful place, but thorough out the years I tried to find out what works for me and what not,and what it used to be the major factor the money in the beginning now it is not, life is too short for living in places that I despise. Seems like Switzerland for some people is a golden cage
