Dude, come on now.
First, you don't understand the rules and even when quite a few EF'ers pointed them out clearly.
And then you complain.
And then you get into childish debates.
You have your posts...do your ad thingy and get on with your day.
And good luck with your sale. | The following 2 users would like to thank TheWolverine for this useful post:

I would suggest that some of the good people on the EF keep the agression level down. | | | | | I don't think other members have been particularly aggressive here. There has been a fair amount of clear explanation of how the forum operates.
There could be some frustration because you started with a complaint about a basic function of the forum. Anyway, your problem is now resolved. You have your 10 posts (unless a nasty mod. deletes some of them ).
Hope you have better luck with your sale. | This user would like to thank Deep Purple for this useful post:

Community is also being civil and corect. I did not force the EF to have the for sale section. They can close it down any time they like. Freedom of expressin? | | | | | And "being corect" (sic) is about including all the letters to words when you type (see emphasis above).

Joe
You can complain to me. I'm skilled in active listening....here's an example:
"A number of weeks ago I tired to put my car for sale on the EF."
You were tired when you were selling your car
"I discovered I did not write the 10 requred posts and sure enough the ad was deleted."
The post, which was in the wrong section, was deleted and there was a nice message with the PM I got which explained to me that I need 10 posts to contribute in the For Sale section.
"Since then I am blocked from the for sale forum? Why I do not know?"
I refuse to listen to reason or read the PM, even though I did read it.
"Like all humans we may make mistakes AND since we are willing to correct them where is the problem?"
I refuse to accept that I must make 10 posts before punting my car for free on EF.
"Why do the people from EF are so un-Democratic."
I was unable to break the rules and am upset.
"Who do we complain to and request democratic evaluation?"
Here's my complaint, judge me and sympathise....even though I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.
So what is the car you want to advertise? You have your 10 posts now | The following 8 users would like to thank for this useful post:

Damned client meetings... I missed this peach of a thread, and have been bored at work since Eco closed the Swiss Gestapo thread.
I know, let's start a "all mods are wannabe Nazis thread"!

| | Re: EF and Democracy | Quote: | | | | | You know what? I just got it from a friend by phone! I need to write ten posts on your EF not ten posts about the car for sale. It would have been very simple to tell me that instead of always telling me to read the rules.
I did read the rules but did not understand the request mate. No big problem. Take it easy. | | | | | You can learn and practise here http://www.rhlschool.com/reading.htm |

Since you joined in Jan 2008 your contributions have been x11 posts half of those were a rant on this thread.
If you don't like the rules you know where ricardo/ebay is otherwise I would stick to cleaning/repairing teeth.
Btw I can't wait for the ad, that thread's going to be priceless. (Which means I would suggest you really do take it elsewhere it's bound to be flamed)
You earned yourself some red blobbies for your troubles. |

Okay my dear hypocrites.
Out of the 33 replies there are 2 helpful replies.
Personally I have my doubts about these 10 posts before ad rule. Sure, it protects the forum from spammers, but instead it will encourage newbies to post 10 times posts with no value, such as "lol " or a thread like this.
Not much to gain from it IMO.
Anyhow, yes I know. It's the law and we shall fallow and not complain. Nothing to be done about it.
But since the OP now got it, shall we drop it and take it easy with the redies? It's nice to be nice, really.

Really. | Quote: | | | | | I know, let's start a "all mods are wannabe Nazis thread"! | | | | | This is a lie. Only 1 or 2 mods are wannabe Nazis. Don't generalise.
Anyway I have received a number of votes for this thread to be closed, so I'll comply with the majority (true democracy requires secret ballots, right?).
