With all the rules here, this escapes me. Join, post nothing but PM to your heart's delight.
Is that what we really want?

I do get those too. I never answer. If someone doesn't have the dencency to introduce himself, I don't see why I should answer, knowing that I won't never hear anything again.

I saw a profile today with 10 posts in the history, but none credited to the post count due to posting in off-topic. I wonder if 10 off topic posts but zero post count still gets you past the magic requirement of 10 posts...

Join, post nothing but PM to your heart's delight. | | | | | As long as your 'heart's delight' doesn't exceed 4 PMs per 24 hours, that is. We've left it this way on purpose so that newbies can respond to marketplace ads (which, remember, don't contain phone numbers or email addresses - so PM it has to be) without having to make 10 posts themselves first. We reckon that four PMs should suffice to get a typical marketplace transaction off the ground, while being limited enough to prevent most abuse.
Unsolicited commercial PMs are spam. Use the 'report' button, watch the person get banned.

The thing is, the PM asked what can be found here using the search button. This was the PM which I intend to ignore. (hope I am not breaking any rules here by posting its contents. ) Hello Mrs Doolittle
I am moving to switzerland in July 2011.I have got 2 daughters 3 and 8 years old. my elder daughter is on waiting list at ZIS wadenswil..though she might get a place in ZIS Baden.
i wonder if you know how ZIS Baden is?
Also wanted to check how is Baden to live.

In cases like this, I would reply to the member saying that they would get more answers by posting in the forum rather than by PM.
I would only report the PM if it were offensive, contained spam or was totally irrelevant. I would also report if the PMs were repeated after having sent a reply to stop.

I get some messages like that too. I did reply to one guy because I had replied in his thread. Never to hear from him again, no thanks no nothing.
Anyway, I imagine with your job you get many more. I'd just write something like searching the forum will get you the answers you need. You could add you don't give advice over PMs. I wouldn't say this is spam. Just someone looking for help and being a bit too forward.
You could write up a text and then copy paste when someone PMs you. Or just delete it.
