It could happen. We have a special 'ban' button we use for spammers; it bans the account, deletes all their posts, threads and PMs all in one go. Since a few weeks ago, it also adds their registration IP address to our blacklist. A lot of spammers try to create several accounts from the same IP so this has been a really useful tool for us. The downside though is that if a spammer's already registered from your IP address you won't automatically be able to.

If it happens to you, try again later: it may just be a forum maintenance issue. If it keeps happening, make a note of your IP address and contact us.

Re: "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator."

I noticed today that nobody had responded to the similar questions on the English Forum page on Facebook. I have added answers to the similar questions there.

In fact, it seems that "English Forum Switzerland" has not contributed to their group since 5th January this year. It seems to be a pointless group.

There are also people thinking it is www.englishforum.com and asking questions about learning English. I guess that the mods here have no involvement with it. Here is enough for them to be going on with.
