Time of last post discrepancy

Just a very minor observation, and by no means an issue for me (or probably anyone else).

I normally, as my first port of call, select "Today's posts" from "Quickies" (top menu bar).
[also applicable under Forums/sub forums]

If I just want to have a quick look, then I don't Log in, and the time of the last post (centre column), is always an hour earlier, than when it was actually posted; .... and as it shows on the same page after I have logged in.

I thought this was still a server issue from when the clocks went forward, last month, but realised the key is, whether I'm logged in or not.

But, as I wrote - no big deal - it's obviously impossible for the EF to have no replies in the last hour, during "daylight hours".

Re: Time of last post discrepancy

It might have something to do with one's cookies I suppose, under Edit Options:

http://www.englishforum.ch/profile.php?do=editoptions

Like mine is GMT +1

Perhaps guests, having no cookies, revert to default settings of GMT ?

Re: Time of last post discrepancy

Thanks for coming back, but I don't think it's that.
My settings are the same as your thumbnail graphic example, and the time of last post shows correctly when I'm logged in.
It's only when I view without logging in (i.e. as a guest), then there's the hours discrepancy.

EDIT: As a guest, there are no settings to edit, and I've just done the obvious and scrolled down to the bottom of the page (not logged in, as a guest) and it's written: "All times are GMT +1. The time now is 18:53." - when I'm logged in the equivalent is: "All times are GMT +2. The time now is 19:53."
