Help me find an EF member [ PC Advisor ]

Hi folks,

I'm posting this in the Commercial section as it could, potentially, be seen as an indirect commercial ad for an EF member's business.

About 2 years ago I bought a PC from an EF member, he made it, specced it how I wanted it, drove up to my flat in Baar from Vaud and set it all up, accepted payment (& a bottle of wine) and then headed off home.

I was really happy with the service and now that I'm considering a new PC I'd like to go back to them and give them my return business.

Me being a total genius and all, I cannot remember their name, or their contact details, and all I can remember is that (I thought) their EF member name was PC Designs (certainly their avatar had a logo with PC Designs in it and probably their sig too).

I guess it's possible he isn't around any more, but I've tried a search in the member lists and in google and I'm finding nothing.

Does anyone remember this guy, anyone know what his forum name is, or any other way I can contact him...???

Re: Help me find an EF member!

I think he changed his name because it was his business name but I can't remember what he changed it to. Sorry that doesn't help but it might help to jog someone else's memory.

Re: Help me find an EF member!

Excellent, cheers folks. I'll drop him a line through here, if he has left at least I'll find out that way.

Thanks!

edit - looks like he has left - all his most recent posts were selling items / a house, his location is now "toronto" and he's disabled the PM and e-mail options.

Seems I'll have to go to Media Markt or Digitec like everyone else, then.

Yeah. Apparently payment was always top notch but he got poisoned by an insanely cheap bottle of wine and decided to leave the country because of it. Poor guy.

FWIW, I can spec/ build PC's, as a hobby...I tend to stick to to top end quality components which I know work together and avoid cheaper builds for the same reason. I specialise in ultra fast or ultra small/quiet units (HTPC)...

PM me your requirements and I will have a look at Digitec and get a cost price togther for the components...we can discuss a fee if you are happy to proceed on the cost price as a starter price.
