Flaky job offerers on EF..erg!

I didn't want to have to do this, but now I'm gonna after this final straw. So. You're looking for a job and peruse the Jobs offered section frequently, reply to a couple of ads (a nice, articulate introduction, followed by qualifications, ended with a sensible greeting.)

Nothing. Crickets.

A few months go by and a response! "Are you still interested in the position? Would you mind retelling me about yourself/resending CV/redoing everything?"

Sure! No problem. So I respond with politeness, as this is a future employer, and a little enthusiasm as well: Yes I am still interested, myself blah blah blah, repeat, blah and my qualifications, blah. Looking forward to hearing from you! (again..)

Crickets. Nada.

So annoying! I've about had it with flaky ass "job offers" here. If ya don't wanna hire someone from the EF, or at all, or can't make up your mind, *please* take your flaky job offer and sh*!@e it.

Yes I run the risk of someone browsing through my history "to get to know me a little better" (as I admittedly do in return) and running across this thread. Good. Then you know what not to do!

<Must look elsewhere for jobs now. (insert smiley with dark glasses and fake mustache/nose)

Well I would be upset also, but really, would you really like to work for someone like that? Not me so if I were you I would count myself lucky and move on, Best of luck in finding a job!

Re: Flaky job offerers on EF..erg!

Not actually a job offer was it ?

Just a slow/lousy response to a position advertised. That's par for the course these days. Either you are a good fit/match and they grab you, or you are one of the 5000 so-so fit CV's on their desk, with a slight flaw that you might not be Swiss or fully fluent in German which relegates you to the bottom of the pile. They will want to pick 3 candidates and submot CV's, the rest will be binned. They will not have the time to respond to all the applicants. No news is bad news when it comes to job hunting.

Employers like that make me sick. They rely on randomness rather than valuing talent or achievements

Well, as I've already binned the other half (which is my privilege for stealing your joke, going back in time to last week and posting it) they've got no chance.

Also, leave it up to this mature-challenged cheeky clique-ridden site to take over a thread and make it into an inside (and ... not that clever?) joke.

Re: Flaky job offerers on EF..erg!

I am so sorry you've had a bad experience- but really, you are not doing yourself any favours here. If I had a job I'd truly hesitate before calling you, sorry.

Oh, and good luck.

Your choice of course. It was actually meant sincerely, but hey oh.
