I think Mods should intervene when necessary. I appreciate that people messing around in one's Ad Thread is annoying but sometimes the replies are making a valid point and for me, as soon as the OP answers in kind, or adds smilies to his/her retort, then 'being upset' about it, is no longer valid. If an OP thinks the comments are totally unfair, he should report the post (without making a witty reply first) and then a Mod can take a look and see if he/she agrees. Quite honestly, I know too little about cars etc. to know who might be right in this specific case.
