Why is my post not in the search result?

Hello,

Recently (2 days ago) I posted a new thread in Market Place > For sale / wanted as I would like to quickly sell some of my old furniture due to job relocation. The title of my post is
'Furniture for Sale and Giveaway by end July 2011 [Zurich]'.
However, when I try to search for 'Furniture Zurich' or even 'Furniture' using the Search function on the top right of the page, my post does not appear in the results. Why? Do I have to do something so that my post will appear in the search results?

When I searched 'furniture' your post came up at number 8 in the results.

Re: Why is my post not in the search result?

Sometimes (sorry, very often) the Basic Search produces poor or no results.
If you perform an Advanced Search you get more comprehensive results.
I don't know why and it's no very helpful when you are trying to sell something.

That is fine to confirm that a post has not been deleted. It would not show if other people would find it in a search.

Simple search and advanced search for 'furniture' find it OK. It is important that any words for potential search function are spelled correctly.

Re: Why is my post not in the search result?

I tested the search logged in and without logging in. In both cases, I do not see my own posts... Anyway thanks for the response, good to know that people can actually find my post through the search.
