Issues about event

Good evening,
I created my first event (hurrah!) but I messed it up a bit with the dates (bouh!)...
I would like to edit the title of my event and change the date from 21.07.2011 to 22.07.2011 but I didn't find a way to solve this issue. Is it possible to do this for a member or does it need a moderator intervention?

Also I would like to learn how to create events that actually appear on the calendar as it seems I didn't figure this one out despite reading several times the "to read" notes on the forum.

I would greatly appreciate some help in order to learn how to make proper events in the future (as I intend to be a proactive member of the community and create future events^^).
