I am the first to have used that example.

I used it along with the comment "I wanted to show them how it hurts to be hurt" made by the 1st guy who could only see the cartoon as an attack toward muslims.

I mocked that because he justified "putting a jesus image" and trying to show other "how it hurts to be hurt".

So I said that maybe the "nutter/criminal/whatever" who tried to kill the cartoons artist wanted to "show him how it hurts".

But I understand if you only see a part of the topic, you miss the conversation.

So I could say that any close minded people or rude people can say " you" because that's the expression they could use.
.
.
.
.
." you". You see if you start to "select" from my last sentence you can see I said " you".
Why did I insult you???? Or did I insult you, really?

It's very unfair and stupid thinking to short select what one said and put it out of context.

Anyway it seems difficult to reason with people who can't even interpret a cartoon...
Dude, I don`t think you read my piece entirely. I don`t care what you mentioned before. My point was that Zuger was using the example of the Danish Cartoonist as a reason for his avatar.
WTF?

and by the way, you can drop the grammar lessons, cheers!

You were the only one mad at me....
Nope, I wasn't and I am still not. I didn't find your choice of avatar very mature nor sensible but I never been harsh, impolite or mean to you.

In the PM I answered you, I even apologised to you for the weird pms you got, that it was not my intention.

None of this Islam bashing crap was my intention. And certainly not being insulted for saying out and loud that I found your avatar offending.

I stick to why I start the thread, which I explained to you for now the 4th time: To know from the mods, when and how an avatar is offensing or not and I even gave exemple to make my point.

What about the "quran burning " Terry Jones? When it comes to free speech, in the heart of the so said largest democracy on this planet, this lunatic is capable of igniting more hatred simply by doing what he says is free speech. These ,similarly to the use of an "innocent" avatar, show better the incidious hatred within societies that purport to enjoy freedom of speech.
That is why this thread should be wound up now, because I think it has been proven beyond doubt that there was a much more bad intentioned reason for the avatar that Nil complained about, even though it has been aggressively defended, but probably for a mistaken belief that it was an innocent bit of fun.
Why should it matter what these morons do, how does that affect a individual to practice a religion? It doesn't if they burn a bible, koran or darwins theory of evolution. It's their choice, just see these people for what they are.

When religion crosses the boundaries of law only then it becomes a problem.

I wonder if we can recap this?

We've all agreed that for the purposes of this forum, right or wrong, the divine beings are the Mods ( did "I" actually say that ?!? )

so for the love of God, Allah, Buddah, Thor, the Four Winds and the Seven Seas can someone close this thread before Paddy puts up that lipstick avatar?

I won't follow you on the insults level. You do better then me to prove my point!

Insult level?

Are you serious?

Ok I'm sorry again:

poor interpreters: sorry I offended your kind for not being able to find more than 1 interpretation to a cartoon. You group were right all along. The cartoonist is an evil anti-Muslim who made that drawing to kill billions of muslim people. Sorry I haven't see that earlier and I insulted you by saying "bash poor interpreters".

, poor shocked victims: I'm sorry against that kind of victims who are shocked because of a shocking cartoon on the internet. I omitted to show compassion and I forgot to see how your every day life must be terrible:
8am BAM a shocking cartoon in the face. 08:03 another terrifying image show on google, your feelings are extremely impacted. 08H05 it's already the end of what you can cope: There's a cartoon about your favorite politic party: you are having a shock attack, game over.

poor easily offended people,
Sorry to have insulted you. I'm sorry to have said "you" I did not meant any disrespect or to offend you anymore. I'm sorry to have said sorry twice, I don't want to offend you by apologizing too much.

and poor people who can't focus on other aspect of a cartoon.
I'm sorry for insulting poor people who can not talk about anything else than what they know about a cartoon. After all they know even better than the "cartoonist" who made the drawing. It's clearly an attack towards muslims, sorry to have not see your extreme observation skills.

So yes i'm sorry for all my "insults"

Well for me it becomes a problem when their intention is to incite action in others.
The theory that free speech means you can say what you want is one thing, but to call in the cameras so you can pout it to a wider audience is cowardly because it means you have no intention of doing it yourself
I have an intense hatred for manipulators!

I think you miss a lot of the interpretation. Or you just keep it on the side to prove a point?

We have an expression in french it goes like this:

-On apprend pas un singe faire des grimaces

Which could be translated in something like this:

- You don't teach a Monkey to do monkey business.

When it comes to interpretations, analysing and decoding, you won't teach me much.

You want to take me for an idiot, I am fine with it, if it makes you more comfortable. But believe me, on a forum where most of our biggest topics are on religions, Islam, Middle-east, etc. No one will put something similar without intentions.

If you believe this, you are very naive.

See, I am still not falling in names calling, insults, etc.

It won't make my points and I will lose credibility.

I'm sorry apparently I insulted your kind when I said:

"And to bash poor interpreters, poor shocked victims, poor easily offended people, and poor people who can't focus on other aspect of a cartoon."

That's better description of that thread.

So i'm terribly sorry to have referred you as "poor easily offended".

I actually don't see where's the insult(s) but no worries. She does.

Now then, what's all this about some mean, rotten, rotten, insensitive swine who's been putting up an avatar that's been offending sweet, sensitive types who presumably don't feel that their religion is strong enough to deal with such a frontal onslaught?
