I live and work in CH.
It says so on my profile, and my location.
I don't need to know about "thelocal.fr". I also don't need it to take me to some random page when I click to close the pop-up window.

I hate to be such a boring party pooper...but honestly, personally, I don't mind coz we live about 5mins of the French border. So, the local.fr should it ever become a practical source of info, of a region 5mins away, would make some sense. Not that I plan to change sides and play for the other team, but... Still worth the info that might relate to all of us living in the vicinity of FR. |

Hmm, they launch thelocal.fr without a forum? Seems a bit strange as from my point of view, the forums on thelocals sites in Sweden, Germany and Switzerland are their strongest points. What I would suggest to the owners is to add the forum from toytowngermany to the french site (as it's the most advanced forum of the three) and upgrade the Swedish forum as it's not very advanced.
PS - used all three as I used to live in Stockholm and Munich.
Just my opinion.
