Re: To Groan or not to Groan, that is the question.

People who thank me are correct, people who groan me are wrong. It's that simple. Like the groaners.

Come on, this must be soooo tempting.

drive by groaners are the most annoying thing about the forum, by all means disagree with me, call me names etc, but to just groan without joining in the discussion is out of order imho
depends if the post is so self-evidently stupid that it doesn't deserve more effort than a single mouse click.

My personal view is that if a person can present a logical argument - and in particular avoid personally remarks (a remark is such if directed at one's person and not one's logic) then those logical arguments are valid.
Yeah, but only a knobhead would think that.

Perfect example of unnecessary groaning right here....I did not deserve this, now I will have a miserable afternoon, will be horrible to my poor innocent kids and will need lots of wine later to get over it

Re: To Groan or not to Groan, that is the question.

meh I agree with Ittingen, but if that were practiced then I would have half the groans I have as most of them were given by people who disagreed with me and then went back and groaned at all my posts in a certain thread...I usually write why I groaned and have taken groans back, unless of course it is obvious

Parnell,

Extremely kind of you and of course all of us need love - but it's not the reason I come to internet boards - I don't believe in moral absolutism but in consistency very much so.
Perhaps you could answer the questions I asked - thanks.

Not that I am aware, but again, it could have been when I thought groan were a death sentence in real life....

Ittigen.... I won't sleep tonight! I would have to drink too much wine too to also get over it! Catalan wine! (which are really good by the way).

So Groans, yes to express your feeling.
I find it difficult to understand your logic. Playful groan removed so you won't murder your family with all the PMT you have in you. Now THAT deserves a groan!
