Err, I haven't checked back here for a few days and as you all know, EF gets hundreds of new posts everyday. Would someone please point me in the direction of the thread that Economisto is obviously parodying? sounds like a laugh.

The real classics for me are those who start behaving as if threads are the intellectual property of the OP (sometimes this is the OP themself) and request...no order...others to keep off them if they are not adding perceived value.
Nice in theory but can't see it happening anytime soon!

What happened to the honey thread?
I expected it to go rancid during the day, only to find, when I checked in last night, that the bees are no more.
P.S. For L.W., there was also another thread by the same OP, as linked above, offering bio-honey for sale. As it is no more - a deceased thread - I wonder if it got a bit meaty.

Nice in theory but can't see it happening anytime soon! | | | | | Or when mods get thread deletion requests because after 70 pages, the thread isn't gong the way the OP would have liked.

Now that everyone knows I make over SFr. 175,000, will people expect me to pay for drinks at EF events?

Accept some back and forth in public, or hire a consultant to answer your questions. That is all. | | | | | Or join, like many do, never post, then send me a private message that doesn't include a real name and reads like this "Hi, I see from your profile you are in the relocation business so I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions as my relocation company isn't very helpful."
I find it odd that someone with zero post count should be able to PM. You join a forum to participate, it should be impossible to post on any thread unless you have made an introductory post. (and preferably used the search button before posting on another thread).

I used to get a lot of requests about how exactly to study psychology and where to get a job and where to live and and and... If you can't get past that hurdle on your own, you'll never survive uni!

Hi! I live in Basel and I would like to have a friend.
Sound good to me, why not to find one who actually live in Basel?
