Do you mean the one about your father "terminatelly" telling your girlfriend not to walk around in high heels?
I know lawyers feel obliged to use long words, but that's a new one to me

Re: delete posts

You can always delete your own posts, not the thread. Mods can delete or suspend or hide anything.

At the bottom click <Edit> then click <Delete> then <Delete this message> then click <Delete>

'Terminatelly' certainly isn't in the Oxford dictionary - but if I could speak Spanish at all, let alone as well as you can speak English, I'd be very happy

Whoops! Just seen that you're a native English speaker.........but I still can't speak Spanish.

'Terminatelly'
Definition: "Termina-telly" Being stuck watching The X Factor with an overly-enthusiastic 9 year old girly.

Us mods really don't like deletions. Even if you had the privilege/edit button we might go back and reinstate the post. It's especially true if, quoted or not, another user has taken the trouble to respond. Think before you post.

it's all a bit Nottingham no?
Have a great time at the Fete des Vendanges tonight!
Must say your new word did make me laugh!

Must say high heels are a total pain with laminate or parquet floors - one reason we picked the top floor for our apartment in the UK. Like chinese torture- and ruins the floors anyway.

You're joking .... right?

That's like ..... "engage brain before opening mouth"

- a good trick if you can do it.

Well, the sticky points always are the same ol' shticks, real names, too much personal detail, going overboard one way or another. Otherwise, moderate brain engagement is not such a bad thing

Absolutely...
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
Think before you post.
And so on... If you post something that is because you are unhappy with something, make that post as neutral/objective as possible and maybe in a way that doesn't make it clear who you are. If others start having a field day with the source of your anger, ask them to calm down, otherwise you may be held responsible for it. Sounds mad, but I speak of experience.

apparently entire threads can be deleted!!! (he remarked upon discovering that two threads -- albeit by a duplicate poster -- have been removed from the forum without a trace or an acknowledgement)
