Forum help required ( regarding an Advert )

Hi. I wanted to repost my ad for a sublet of our apartment on the Forum and have done so but believe it will be deleted by a moderator because it is a copy of one I put up a month ago. The thing is that the person who was interested in the apartment has had family issues and seems to have gone off the radar so I decided to re-advertise it. I was unsure how to do this without reposting. I wanted to delete the original post but couldn`t see how to do it.

Advice on "recycling" the original post or deleting the original to replace with a new one would be appreciated . Thanks

Dear Moderator who moved my message into this forum...thank you for doing so. I would also be very helpful if you could answer my question ...being a moderator, perhaps you might know the answer?

Aw, ok, sorry for not knowing who moved it, but we are a tad busy with some new tech stuff these days...

Ok, let me have a look. You cannot re-post, since that is duplicate posting. You go back to the Market Place rules, where, as in all stickies with essential info, it is explained, you cannot double post, nor bump.

Get back to your initial thread. Post another piece of handy information. Also mention, that your flat is still available, despite you having previous interested parties. Nobody will be deleting old threads just to have an identical thread posted asap. Nothing personal, just some rules. I wish you fab luck with the rental, by the way.

I think when a mod moved it, they hoped for members being able to answer.
Nothing else.

Why don't you just reply to your original ad & say that the apartment is still available? That will bring the thread back up to the top & you don't have to duplicate anything.

good luck.

Thanks Ladies. Not being a regular on these kind of forums, I didnt realise that if I simply added a little bit of info to my original post it would have "re booted" it...so now I dont have to go through the whole sordid process of reposting it and re adding the photos. Good on ya`s

Re: Forum help required ( regarding an Advert )

There is another popular way to wish for good luck (sort of equivalent of English 'break a leg') and that is MERDE (which of course means sh*t).
Hope it all works out - and this little post is another bump up to the top.
