Private Message limits

Hello!
could someone help me to understand why can i only send 4 private messages during the day?
Following message appears on the screen:
You may only post 4 messages every 1440 minutes.

Can anyone help?

Here is the answer:
"If you are a new member and/or have a low post count, the number of PMs you can send per day is limited. (Limit has been set up to prevent spamming with Private Messages)"
