I was never warned or got a single PM from any mod in the time I have been here. So yes the ban was out of the blue as far as I am concerned. Neither did I get any warning for using an offensive word on the offensive words thread

The other thing is that I did not use the word on anyone ie. I did not call someone a K. It was a light hearted post so I like how it is being turned into as if I was attacking someone with that word in an argument.

Fact is I got banned few minutes after replying to Douglas Breakfast on the religion thread and after sending a reply via PM to his red card.
Who did I get banned by? Economisto, the other guy who did not like my views with regard to God on the religion thread.

My question is why is Mathnut going out of the way to cloud the actual reason why I was banned? You can all lie to look good but DB, Economist and Mathnut you should know that Jesus is watching and knows all lol
Cause it's a fooking conspiracy...not got it yet!?

Why? Truth not good for the legends of the forum? Some mods got their religious beliefs and personal relationships get in the way of being fair and objective towards me.

It is pathetic that they then openly lie about it and divert the reason for my ban to my light hearted post in another thread that was actually about offensive words.

Let's assume i give you the benefit of the doubt.

you can see it that way and make a rather short run on EF OR

Drop it, learn the cracks and expose their "faulty/hypocritical/whatever you wanna call it" work every chance you get while inside the rules.

Whatever is more fun for ya....

Gah, what is it with this forum legends crap again?

Even if its about a conflict of religious beliefs and intolerance for your views, or what you've insisted is happening about letting personal relationships get in the way (which I dont think so), so what? Sucks for you buddy, but they are the ones with their fingers hoovering over the BAN button. If you feel so strongly about it, PM the mod or escalate it to the higher powers. Mods arent Gods.

I dont know what you've posted that led to your ban. Regardless. This is afterall, the internet. Dont get so worked up about it - unless you are bored at work and trolling

Hi - I dont normally comment but have been reading this post with interest!

I am sorry to say that using the C-word (not K-please read previous comments on spelling) is never light-hearted - please see previous comments on Monty Python not using it in Life of Brian!

I am not sure if you are mother-tongue english - but this word is highly offensive to english speaking people - even spelt with a k - and will never be taken with a pinch of salt!

You're welcome.

Do you remember your post that got deleted on the "offensive words" thread? I'm not going to repost it as it was rather gratuitously offensive, but I'm sure you can remember what you wrote. That, and a general pattern of trolling across other threads, earned you a week's 'vacation'. Keep it up and the next one will be longer.
Oh shame. I'm a bit bored today...

...but since you asked, the word is the nastiest term there is for lady bits. In American English it is (by extension) an extremely rude word to call a lady; in British and Irish English it is an extremely rude word to call a man. Make of that what you will

True about the spelling.

Whenever I read something about this little chap, my brain twisted the letters and I read something completely different:

I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next Scorpio but well, it seems you've not read what you've been told very well.

Both MathNut and MusicChick have said that people are rarely banned for one thing.

You have said you posted something in the religion discussion thread for which you received a "red card" - I'll hazard to bet that it was something that raised more than one pair of eyebrows, but some folks are skimpy with handing out rep, both positive AND negative.

So, you wrote something either offensive (the only time I use that c-word is if I am REALLY REALLY angry, it's something of a verbal punch) or questionable in at least two places, as well as who knows what in a PM to DB, which may or may not also have been offensive. So, perhaps it was "strike three"?

Of course, then we have the opening post of this very thread which contains the contents of a private message, which, I believe, is also a bannable offense...

You seem to be a bit slow on the uptake.

Re: Need some simple clarification on why I was banned from any decent mod.

If what you needed is clarification from a mod on your ban, why wouldn't you simply ask the mods themselves via PM? They are, after all, the ones whose opinions and explanations you are seeking, right?

It would seem that to ask the question by posting the thread for the entire forum to view could (would/should) be interpreted as a way of trolling in and of itself. Why wouldn't you ask for a private explanation prior to setting upon publicizing your views regarding mod fairness and collusion?

So congratulations, it seems that you have indeed "stirred the pot" quite effectively. Probably not a great way to get a mod in the future to take the time to consider your side of the story, should another questionable situation arise. How ironic is that, given that you started the whole thread by insinuating a lack of mod impartiality?

Hope this doesnt get me banned

But I have not been here for a long time, but I have noticed that there are a lot of things said in this forum that have the potential to upset someone, whether that was the poster intention or not. It has happened to me, but at the end of the day I realised this is an anonymous community and that means people can say what they want with out fear of being known, and as such some pretty nasty things will be said. Getting all huffy and puffy about its does nothing more than raise your blood pressure and piss you off. With so many different points of view we cant all agree on an issue. State your opinion yes, but dont try to impose it as the best, most correct one. In your eyes it may be, it my eyes maybe not at all.

But so often we see this potentially really interesting topics descending into cat fights between to people with opposing views who cant agree to disagree.

I used to think this was a useful platform for expats here, and to an extent it is, but for the most part, I think there are a lot of passive aggressive out there who are mad about some part of their life here and use the forum as an outlet. So we end up with a whole lot of trivial pointless threads on.

Maybe some people here need to smoke joint and chill the f#%& out.

Erm so there's some lesson here sun&rain if you're going to be offensive spead it around about, see it as ninja sniping.. That's what I do anyway.

To put the comments about religion straight I'm a staunch athiest yet I manage quite well "bashing" the religious sorts on EF without earning myself a ban. I respect their deluded position, but I love them all the same. God told us to tolerate others didn't he?

Perhaps coming up with clear and well thought out arguments is a a way to go instead of posting directly offensive comments. x2 people you mentioned I know well and there's no way they are easily offended.

You may not agree with someone but there's a way and means to get your point across.

Cut out the PM shit too, there's no need to take it to a personal level.

Oh a timid newbie.. Cool fresh meat

I think you'd need to do a lot more to get yourself a ban, feel free to say what you think. All opinions welcomed, although some are much more deluded.

Aye but dont ask where to get that hash from in Basel eh!
