I'm sure they'll be back - either with a tan or with their tail between their legs
But probably not with a tan between their legs. That's difficult. Unless you're an Essex girl.

All totally explainable, I'm sure - I've refound my passion for aviation, I know that DB has got himself a motorbike recently, many others have taken up gardening for some reason that escapes me. <

Oh yes, and school holidays, Lackberry problems, warm weather. And a hedgehog crossing the road just outside Interlaken.

Its a combination of school holidays, unseasonably warm weather and the recent Blackberry outage
Not being a crackberry addict (I keep mine with a dead battery tucked away in the back of a drawer), I had no idea that crackberries weren't working until the mass wave of panicked crackberry addicts struck the office yesterday realizing they weren't getting their normal volume of emails.

I'm just grateful that, so far, nobody has died as a result of the new T&Cs.

Awww, KF, cheer up, maybe your invite is still in the mail!

No invite for me, either, but that is probably good as if I were to double the online time I spend perusing EF by becoming a member of a second forum, I might then by default become a member of the "Get a Life" club.

I see you used the word trend, do you think this is a trend and not an anomaly then ?
Hmm...I didn't say it is a trend. I said should it become one, it won't need an announcer, nor any hiring team.

*chuckles*

Re: Regulars not posting...

Personally, I never used to respond to anything all that much because by the time I got around to reading the forum at night, most of the regulars, who seem to monitor the site every second of everyday, had already answered pretty much all questions with about 4 pages worth of the same answer over and over again.
And posts that don't regard questions were usually interesting for the first 2 pages of responses, and then fell apart into tearing apart the opinions of anyone that hasn't posted at least 1000 posts.
So, without having all of the 'A'-posters around, it has given the chance for others to offer answers, opinons, etc, without being domineered, diminished or admonished for not introducing themselves or using the search function, google, and whatever other rantings that are given on a DAILY basis.

WHEW! was that a rant or what!?!?

Who's taking a piss? I love Dr. Suess. Still have my original stuffed Cat in the Hat from when I was 6.

And the attitude in your response was exactly what I was talking about. How is that supposed to encourage newbies, or lurkers to actually join in and become part of EF as an online community?
