When the new Terms of Use were emailed to the members it woke up those who had forgotten they were registered on EF so now they're posting. On the other side, all of the divas who have been complaining about the new Terms of Use are finding themselves locked out of the forum for over posting.

Wel...trends don't need spokesmen making waves. Should they be substantial, it will alert.

Wel...trends don't need spokesmen making waves. Should they be substantial, it will alert. | | | | | I have no idea what you mean in this instance by insinuating or why you would even ask that question. I see you used the word trend, do you think this is a trend and not an anomaly then ?

I am a newish member who has recently started posting more. The reason for this is actually a very poignant one.
I used to regularly look at posts on EF and came across the extremely sad announcement of Begga's death. I read the posts from her friends and was very moved by the outpouring of love and affection for her. This opened my eyes to the real community of this forum, and the human beings behind the avatars. I started to post more, albeit in a small way, and enjoy the posts of other members. I love all the banter, the humour, the sarcasm, occasional spats, the help and advice, and of course the lolcats!
Long may it continue! | The following 11 users would like to thank hannah'sauntie for this useful post: | |

Is this T&C thing starting to bite ? | | | | | I don't know, but except for the endless T&C threads, I've certainly noticed an improvement a few days after the the new T&Cs came in. Maybe The Local should impose new T&Cs more regularly!
Maybe some have gone on holiday. Maybe some have flounced off. Whatever, the reason, I'm sure they'll be back - either with a tan or with their tail between their legs |

| | Re: Regulars not posting... | Quote: | | | | | Absolutely. But why this new trend ? | | | | | Haven't read the hole thread, but once a person I met who is a non frecuently poster told me that he/she almost never posts because felt EF was like highschool all over again, there are the popular who bash the newbies who dare say a word (or something like that I understood) So maybe they feel less afraid to post and receive rude responces.
I have always liked posting, even on time that has got me into trouble, I started to feel like a "almost-regular-poster" but now with all the discussion i just sit back and read .
