It took me for ever to figure out what this was all about too.

I always read it as The and I'm quite the Grammar Nati as well.

Personally I think those fools at LHC have caused some sort of rip in the space time continuum and the word actually switches back and forth unprovoked.

The can be an explaination to why so many are confused

I think 22 yards might be referring to the mis-spelling of explanation?
