Events forum

I just went to check something in the events forum as there was talk of something at the Viaduckt. The events calendar is there for when an event is arranged but the topic in activities appears closed, why is that?

Re: Events forum

See (Unofficial) Drinks at the Viadukt Markthalle (Part Deux)

As it is 'unofficial' it is not listed in the events page...

It seems though that while one can find that through the search function, the Activities -> Social subforum is currently broken.... which is what you are seeing likely.

Re: Events forum

The whole activities/social subforum is now missing and if one has a link, eg from the events page, one gets an access denied....

Somebody might want to check what is up with server hosting this forum, broken disk, corrupting memory, broken db, etc are not unlikely....

Re: Events forum

Link is broken from a "normal" users perspective.

The whole social forum was "empty" the whole day - and has now disappeared.

Rumours that the Local doesn't want us to interact in the real world and instead spend more time online on EF are being denied.

Re: Events forum

Same here. I can see the calendar, but when I click an event, it tells me I don't have permission to access. If it helps, it makes no difference whether I am logged in or not, doesn't work just the same.

Re: Events forum

Well, as it is a permisson denied, likely something triggered the wrong setting, thus all is not lost... Just flip the switch back...

(newbie) unable to access social events

Sorry to be a bother and create another thread, but there are 2 problems I'm experiencing.

1. I cannot create a social event. I understand from your previous answer that I need more forum history. Not a problem, that's what i suspected and am fine with that.

2. I cannot access any social events. When I click on an event in the social calendar, the same message that I get when I tried to create an event appears (I don't have permission). I can access commercial events no problem. This is a new problem, I was able to access social events previously.

Thanks for your help

OT, but the new event for the Zurich Book Club has been created (June 3), now if we could just access it

I think there might be a computer glitch somewhere - probably (hopefully) it will be fixed soon.

Re: Events forum

This is something that the Admins are looking into. Even Mods have that error.

The Social Events subforum has been temporarily removed by the Admin.

Re: Events forum

It could be to do with an event that is on Saturday - a cycle ride, it says its a broken link then bounces me out to a search engine whereas any other event gives me the same error as above, seems strange that this one does something different to the rest.

Don't you mean - "Thank you for restoring the system to the previous working iteration - after someone ****ed about with it"
