Re: Deleting own profile

It's a CH forum, is it not abiding by the Swiss law?
Not that I want to delete, I just created it. But modifying and deleting are mandatory if I am not mistaken

Re: Deleting own profile

Click on Control Panel (centre top) then on left are options to edit profile - but de-registering is not an option ..... as and when, just log off and post no more - and delete profile info.

........ or get banned.

Re: Deleting own profile

You're right, it's so annoying not being able to edit your posts. I hate spelling mistakes and not being able to correct it makes me crazy.

If you can fight the system, use it to it's extreme.
I will have to innovate to get banned, I will not use the simple way out!

Editing profile and editing posts is not the same - keep posting and all will be revealed (in time) ..... in the meantime use a speck cheller.

phpBB forums allow that, they need to be activated. But I guess this is not done for thread follow up. (even though quoting can help that)

Re: Deleting own profile

I don't think it's fair. And by the way, being able to delete your account should be mandatory as it is in France according to the law.

Re: Deleting own profile

http://ec.europa.eu/information_soci...a/index_en.htm

Any person or organisation who collects your personal data online (like online shops or service providers) must take appropriate measures to protect the data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. Under EU data protection law you have the right to:
Know who is processing your personal data and for what purpose
Access your personal data
Demand that it be erased, blocked, or amended
Object (free of charge) processing of your personal data when your national law exceptionally allows for processing of your personal data without your consent (e.g. for marketing purposes).

Interesting since CH is part of the european laws
