Editing posts [Why am I not allowed to?]

I cant seem to do it, is that just the way you guys role in here???

Being a user of forums for years i can see the advantages, but i always see silly typos once i have posted a message and wish to correct them.

There is a time constraint on editing posts. IIRC it's a week. After that, you should be OK.

I'll double check that and edit my post accordingly.

so are you saying: i have one week to edit my posts before its set in 'stone' - if so where is the 'edit' button????

or do you mean its set in stone for a week and then i can change the posts???

No, he means that you have to have been a member for a week before being able to edit your posts, I think.

No. New members have to wait a week and/or clock up something like 10 posts before they get to see the edit button.

The general idea behind this is to deter trouble causers who join for just a few hours amusement.

You have to have been a member for 1 week with a minumum of 5 posts.

After that period of time (you already have the post count) your edit button will appear.
