How do I stop getting heaps of (10,000 in the last 12 months) notifications from EF?
Where is the stop button?????
It's nothing to do with the "Allow other users to send you emails" options, I have that enabled and it doesn't account for any traffic unless someone actually clicks to send you an email.

You just need to change the "Defailt Thread Subscription Mode" to "No Email Notification" as in the below screenshot:

Then it will be fixed.

Are you saying that EF is a dodgy website?
totally. I never use my real email address for any site I register for. In fact I use a different email address for every site I register on.

Re: Stop notifications?

Since none of this cr@p showed up in my email account, and I've had nothing from EF all day, I think I've managed it!

Thank you, one and all for your help.

I want to subscribe but don't only don't want to receive email notifications.
Is it possible to do settings like that?

I'm sorry, I can't make the text any larger.

Follow the link and change the settings.

Select all threads then update the subscription type at the bottom

If you can't manage that then I suggest you abandon your current email supplier and start over.
