Can anyone post Facebook links within a thread with promotional self interest in mind?
So effectively promoting their business.

Do note that the owners of the site have made an agreement with Skimlinks, which inserts advertising hyperlinks into posts without the user's knowledge. So it's not always the user that's promoting something. Once in a while it's a Skimlink.

Once in a while? I'm pretty sure it's their target to get one of their links into every post!

Could be, but as I use an ad blocking software I never see them. So I'm not sure how rampant (or not) the added links are.

I use an ad blocker, but they still get through.

There's one in the post above, btw. I knew in advance which word would get hotlinked.

Interesting. Still don't see it but I can guess which word, based on the other thread in Forum support.

SOBEIT, please do share the post(s) you're talking about, so we can clarify if this is a user advertising or a skimlink.
