This isn't a new thing, they've been blocking for years. Same on the Toytown Germany forum. And they've ignored whitelist requests.
It's a silent block, no bounce. | | | | | Hardly surprising when EF doesn't even implement basic email hygiene.

BBC offer this suggestion as a simple way you can check to see if your email account has been compromised. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/2019...foil-mail-bots |

I hate to bump an old thread but I was looking in my junk folder and had an email saying they have a video of me WHILE MASTURBATING!
This was from back in January and as far as I know my family haven't been sent these videos (presumably because they don't exist). The password they had was correct and I only use it for EF.

Send to spam, use a password vault like lastpass and ignore.

M | | | | | I'm aware. Was just to update the thread so EB has an idea of the extent of the breach so that he can take appropriate action.

The video quality is poor and quite grainy.

| | Re: Englishforum security breach?
Yesterday I got a very strange email pertaining to be from EF as someone had posted a reply in the Speaking Swiss-german thread.
It was full of gobbledygook coding and although it had been bounced around the interweb quite a bit had originated from ennis.dedi.melbourne.co.uk. which I'm guessing isn't the real email address for the English Forum??!
So forum security possibly still isn't as tight as Editor Bob and co. thinks it is.

I'll ping EB with the latest posts in this thread. All users were supposed to be forced to change their passwords back when this first came out. If a person simply re-used the same password (not sure if that was allowed) then it's not surprising another message could come with a similar theme as mentioned in the OP.
The email addresses of millions of people are floating out there on the web, so it's wise to be cautious when reading any message. |

Was there another hack?
Use google to search englishforum.ch for "creep" like so:
site:englishforum.ch creep
and using the tools limit the results to the most recent year. You should get something like the screenie below.
This looks a very lot like yet another hack.
Or maybe the one from 2019 was only partially solved/removed.
I've just PM'ed EB a link to this post. | The following 3 users would like to thank Urs Max for this useful post: | |
