That's correct because of GDPR's right to be forgotten, EF should not be able to identify that they would be accounts if the same person.
Strictly speaking, it should still be possible to identify many DB posts from the style, the context, or the fact that others referred to these posts using his name.

So a pedant might claim that GDPR rights to be forgotten are not fulfilled.

Since the ability to ignore a mod function has been removed again (that was pretty short lived) I can see others following suit in the near future too.
Has it? Bugger.

Hypothetically, seeing the account is deleted, the name should be avialable again.

So they can even open a new account in the same name.

All that they would lose would be their post stats and blobbies.
Maybe everyone should get their accounts deleted and come back as someone else who also got deleted.

That would confuse people. Someone could come back as Tony Clifton and pretend to be a Democrat-supporting lesbian single mother who didn't vote for Brexit.

Ask porsch
Who was it that deleted someone else account when there was a link to be able to do it. Total blank with names all of a sudden

That's edot gone as well now. Find it a shame how quickly the requests are dealt with. Does EB not ask if the person is sure or ask why they want to leave or if there is anything he can do to help them to stay?

I would have thought as a paid employee of the local it would be in his and the local's interest to keep members.

They should make that available again. Then we could spend a Friday afternoon deleting people with a Fortnite-style last person standing type competition.

Is Dignitas like that or do they ask "Are you sure?"

Will let you know after I've tried. If you could change the name to edot in your quote that would be great.

Last thing I want when asking to delete my account is somebody asking if I'm sure or why I want to leave.

We're all adults and it should be default thought that if we ask to be deleted that we already gave this a consideration ourselves, no need for a staffer to hold our hands.

Should we buy a little card and all sign it or something?

Or just have guesses at who's next?

Eh? Still seems to work for me unless the one Mod I've blocked isn't a Mod any more?

It might well be that the “is the user a mod?” check is done as the user is added to the ignore list and that once in the list they remain.

Though maybe you can’t see this

Who said that?

Actually seems you're right. Tried it on another one and was stopped.

That’s maybe why I have received email notifications (to my private email address) every 15 mins within in the past couple of days stating that someone is trying to hack my account.

Also why I asked 3Wishes to delete, or at least deactivate my account, as I don’t feel comfortable with it (a reply is outstanding). I don’t care if the messages remain, but I don’t like lax security.

Wanted to get this post in before 3Wishes closes this thread as well.

They were shall we say, a group?
They were not exactly 5 random people from EF who spontaneously decided to leave.
