Surprising this thread did not have 1000 pages
Considering that there were only a maximum of about 20 regular members that kept it alive, not such a surprise.

I just realized a bunch of my groans disappeared! Can a few more of you also leave so I can further improve my public standing?

Some of the men on here get very worked up about groans.
Real men don't get worked up about groans, they wear them with pride!

If certain users (or rather, a certain user) were to leave then the overall groan count of the forum would half. Possibly - I'd like to see the stats, anyway

Yeah, we should develop Girly Groans that follow the fashion seasons. Where are the mods when you need them?

3Wishes, I would like to make a case that you shouldn’t kill this thread.
We are all in mourning and just need to work this through at our own pace.

The people here that care are all grown adults, have proved themselves by making a life outside of their home country.
They have been on this forum since decades, so are a part of the clockwork that has kept it going (mostly).

Why is it deemed a "flounce"? Seems a pretty definitive move to me. Lots of weird vibes on here, strange fascination.

I can't imagine any of them giving EF another thought.

Hey, Iím an IT professional right? Even the big Swiss banks have passwords hard coded into their software. Especially the ones now spending one hell of a lot of money to get rid of it.

So. please. donít. lecture. me.
I'm an IT professional as well. I'm not talking about banks, I'm talking about vBullettin, which, as a matter of fact, does hash passwords. And that replies to amogle hypotesis.

However after seeing the last posts I'm not sure the security of this platform is really the main topic anymore...

It's not the first time, some of them have flounced before then a couple of years later came back. It was down to new Terms & Conditions, there must be some historical threads.

Exactly. That was anything but a flounce. It was due for quite some time, correct me if I'm wrong.
I understand and respect their wish to not be associated with English Forum anymore.

I don't think you understand what flounce means. I don't think they've gone for dramatic effect.

Good look to 'em.
