Where have the old threads gone?

Where have all the old threads gone from 2007. Mine only go back to 2013.
And my posts only go back to the start of this year!

Re: Where have the old threads gone?

It's just a limitation of the simple search function, seems to only return 500 results. Use Advanced search and you'll find all your old tat.

Re: Where have the old threads gone?

I thought it was 500, not 300?

(I see that you fixed that)

You've shown us many times how technologically challenged you are, yet still continue to astonish.

Use the link I provided, select Sort results by, then choose date in ascending order.

It still only shows up to 500 posts. There's no search function by year

It's the fault of EF. They always provide links to these ancient posts
Make up your mind.

Your first thread: 2008

Here a random one from 2005

They have courses for the elderly to teach them internet basics, given that the problem is not with EF but clearly and as usual with you it is worth a consideration....

Interesting that people like digging skeletons from the past. There surely must be life outside.

But but, but... the water cleaning installation stinks, cars don't look out for pedestrians, trams are overly filled, all Chinese have Corona, the stores are too expensive, restaurants are a rip-off etc. etc..

There is no reason for him to leave his house, only reasons to stay in.

Re: Where have the old threads gone?

Old for sale threads have definitely gone, I bought a Triumph Sprint 955i that had been sold twice on the forum & then sold it & all 3 threads are missing. My sale thread would have been Summer 2014. All my other sale threads BMW 330IX, BMW F650 & various skis have all gone.

OK, jokes apart, you can also find them in your subscribed threads which you will find at the bottom of "Quickies" in the top menu. That should include all threads you have started and commented on. Mine go back to my first post in 2007.

I only keep subscribed threads for the last week. And the advanced search brings nothing from 2007

That only works if you had the appropriate option set, to subscribe to threads where you've contributed. I've always had the Default option set to Do Not Subscribe, for example.

It does. As I already said, if you select to sort by ascending posting date your earliest posts are shown at the top of the page. Make sure you don't have any other options set that will stop them showing,
