There are many of them and it is not forbidden within the rules of the forum. They weren’t banned originally so there is nothing to stop them from coming back.
It’s not a duplicate account if the original account no longer exists.

It’s not a duplicate account if the original account no longer exists. | | | | | I ban everybody who's only here to incite nonsense. If the forum is such a terrible place, why come back and bicker about it in the first place? Was there a sign saying "under new management" somewhere that I've missed? Why would they expect it to be any different from a couple of months ago beats me.
Furthermore, your previous comment is incorrect and uncalled for and I'm not going to justify any rep number, not that it matters anyways.

There has been much worse stuff going on during your absence, maybe you could try catching up on that before going in all gung ho with your ban stick?
I don’t give a stuff about your rep numbers but you might want to clarify the issue with your fellow mods.
Ace1 confirmed a few months ago that jrspet did indeed increase MC’s rep score by IIRC 100 points. I don’t give a stuff about that either but don’t try to deny something that has already been confirmed.

I would suggest that the comment regarding inflated rep does not come from a place of nastiness but bafflement. If a person who has quite often dished out some pretty nasty comments themselves enjoys such reverence and is even a mod, it may not sit well with those who disagree with how they conduct themselves. In my view, mods should be characterised by taking a fair and balanced view while not inciting the discord that you don't want here themselves.
Hopefully, my wording is sufficiently diplomatic to avoid getting into trouble.

Why does anyone give a toss about reputation or thanks or groans? (Apart from millenial snowflakes of course). | The following 2 users would like to thank NotAllThere for this useful post: | |

You, and a few others however, never pass on an opportunity to get a dig in on MC and the title of this thread was another watering hole for the pack of hysterical hyenas to gather.
But you guys are wonderful and only want EF to return to the happy, inclusive, space it used to be. Except for you, and you, and you, and...

I was just pointing out the facts as confirmed by Ace previously.
As for the other stuff, if she behaved sensibly and owned her mistakes maybe she wouldn’t get so much flack. You can’t post provocatively and not expect to get a reaction for it. Any other poster doing that would get exactly the same treatment from me.

Feeling a bit thwarted. Wanted to thank NickTuesday for using the expression “jiggery pokery” – simply because I haven’t heard it in years – only to find him banned. Now as a newbie, I get that there’s lots of old history which I’m blissfully unaware of, quite a few “guests” with heaps of old posts and quite a few users recently banned.
Don’t want to act naïve but I do get the impression that often umbrage is easily taken by some folks. If you think a remark is bit snide, ignore it or pay back in kind. Wouldn’t consider myself a very confrontational person but sometimes it helps. Doesn’t have to descend into a shouting match.
I do think it’s a bit disingenuous to allow a thread discussing statistics of mods and then chuck a user who has issues about them.

Does seem rather remarkable. | | | | | Welcome back, Rufus. Just confirming that of course it's perfectly OK to have a self-deleted poster return to open a new account, especially if it's under a very similar name so there is no doubt who it is.
As long as members stick to the rules, naturally they're always welcome here. And last I heard, complaining about improper actions or unfairness is not outside the rules.
