There also doesn't seem to be any option to change it if you don't get this popup, or at least it is very well hidden if it exists.

I seem to have shut it up, by going to other options, turning everything off and then saving that.

Was going to say that works, but then it popped up again. Seems it doesn´t want to accept that I do not want to share my geolocation.

It's almost certainly something in your browser settings. Doesn't happen to me, on multiple machines/OSs. And I've never shared my location.

I just had it once. It is in your own browser Privacy and Data Protection Setting, I think.

I got it once yesterday, I clicked "disagree" to see what would happen. It hasn't come again, but I always have the the "Privacy" button bottom left.

Fun, I have that as well bottom left, still it happens. Oh well, will need to check what has changed.

It started yesterday, disagree became my word of the day yesterday and I implemented the extra click into my EF activities. "Der Mensch ist ein Gewohnheitstier" ..... just make it a new habit. | This user would like to thank curley for this useful post: | |

| | Re: Cookies
Late to the thread but here's my wild guess. I'll ping someone up the food chain to double-check though.
Lots of people use cookie, advertising, and tracker blocking add-ons to their browsers. By blocking all cookies and trackers, you're not letting the "don't bug me" cookies get set.
And/or there's something borked in how they've rolled this out.

Update: I've emailed management and hope to have an update tomorrow.

Getting this on my cell phone now, took me 5 times to get rid of it.....
Still also have to deny this any time I look at a thread on my laptop.

Mhm, cookies.
This cookie consent thing has become obscene, and they way this is handled by most sites is a travesty of what the law intended.

Like so many things, good idea, bad implementation.
Not mentioning compliance and sanctions at work.........

This cookie consent thing has become obscene, and they way this is handled by most sites is a travesty of what the law intended. | | | | | Yep. That was counter productive. The way it's done now people will (probably already are) tired of this and allow all cookies. And now, they ALLOWED them
As standard it should be set to the absolute minimum (does there have to be a minimum though?) and additional settings offered to make (ROFL). I wonder if they will change that law accordingly ..... in a hundred years or so.
However, I keep disagreeing on EF and learnt that I would have made a very good worker on an assembly line, it was kind of easy to implement that extra step. |

I am shocked at actually trying to “Object” to the cookie list.
I thought it would take a couple of minutes.
There are more than 500 of them !!!!
Among the most vague criteria....
“ Receive and use automatically-sent device characteristics for identification”
“Actively scan device characteristics for identification”
“Allow precise location of device”
Objected to all those then another huge Goggle partners cookies list.
Serious questions to site owners / admin.
Do you vet all of these partners in advance?
Do you know how many diversion tactics are used to get people to accept these cookies?
Before todays “Accept Cookies” question, where and what data has been collected by your “partners”?
As a resonsible site I would at hope you at least give clear steps on how a user can choose not to accept / or allow.

That burble may be legalese for something, but essentially it is a load of fluff put there out of avarice aforethought to try to make users give up and click on the button called either "agree" or "okay, then, I capitulate; you can sell me."
