Thanks ya'll for messages. "Mod coup" is an unfortunate title, I agree, looks like it was meant to attribute blame of sorts,
Yes, I apologise for the title and the unfortunate impression it gave. With the two of us locked out and no means of communicating (I've made a note of everyone's email addresses now) I hope you can understand what it felt like. I could change it now, but stable doors, horses bolted...

It looks like we aren't smarter today than yesterday. Our head admin acted. If we create civil and respectful place for people to share, people will share and tell us. Thanks, Tony, for coming back with explanation, it helps us understand.
Hey, why not practice what you preach?

Your post on the "I smiled because... thread" was totally out of order and certainly not civil nor respectful.

Thanks. I just hope that this example was not about the Nissan Qashqai Owner Forum. According to unconfirmed rumors, this forum became irrelevant because the car was so perfect that there was nothing to discuss.
No, it wasn't, but yes, the car is just about perfect. Just got our 4th one in October.

Doesn't that mean, by definition, that the Qashqai isn't perfect?

Or that they now have a fleet of them at their command for when the colour is not perfect enough for the day.

You obviously have no experience in dealing with perfect cars. Medea has 4 Qashqais in different colors, so that she always has a car that matches the color of her handbag.

If Boris doesn't get a deal then the Qashqai may no longer be made in the UK, which by definition will reduce its perfectness

Chivalry is dead. Nowadays nights on horse tranquilizers are more common.

Boy, as usual this thread went way off topic.

Do we have a serious answer from EB/management as to what actually happened? As opposed to aliens, penises, etc, being involved somehow?
No idea who this EB is, but they are certainly a Trump supporter. Getting there...

Can I use a Nissan Qashqai to move from my apartment where I will give the landlord less than 1 months notice to move to a new canton as a Non-EU L-Permit holder who's just been fired?
I've been here 12 years and can't understand the contract that I signed so I think it should be possible or should I hire a lawyer for this? My health insurance ought to cover the lawyer fees.
Dear Ato

I can understand your frustration - a Nissan Qashqai or not - these are indeed troubling times, especially in your area of Zurich which is currently subjected to days of on-going low, grey clouds with no end in sight (not even a quick ski-trip at the weekend).

If you give your landlord less than one months notice in your situation, you may be eligible for immigrant circumstances - they are still functioning (according to a friend who still has to practice the in-house permit test for asylanten 3 times a week in different Swiss towns across the country).

It really depends on your Krankenkasse if they will cover the costs of disputing - try Comparise.ch for a good quote.
