As I've said a couple of times, mirfield's mod powers have been revoked. He was happy to give them up. He may still be part of the mod group but can't apply most of the mod actions, unless he's just had them restored.

Hmmmm, one particular mod who usually has an enormous amount to say—although very few people can figure out what that mod's posts mean—has been eerily quiet today. Again, scratching my head.

Perhaps banning members who contribute to the discussions on EF (whether you agree with them or not) was the last straw?

Full circle should be reinstated as well, he didn't deserve to be banned
This is just my opinion on it, but I think someone deserves to be banned if they show a pattern of being persistently and irrationally aggressive toward other users. I've noticed a few members here that fall into that category. Also, if someone has a pattern of posting false information and essentially 'hijacking' a thread because of that false information or intentionally targeting and bullying other members. I've had to begin using the ignore function just to make this place bearable again and to no longer have to deal with a few irrationally aggressive people.

No, but I would love an EF where I can go to the coronavirus thread and not have to weed through hundreds of posts where some anti-mask dude is relentlessly trying to convince the world that masks are useless or that the virus is no big deal, restrictions are unnecessary, etc. in order to find more pertinent information regarding the status of the pandemic here in Switzerland and/or the world in general.
Sorry, but it is an opinion. Maybe a its even a shitty opinion. They are like assholes, every one has one. And I rather know someone's real view, than their sugarcoated, self censored, "political correct" opninion.

Here my opinion: You are delusional if you think you could get information on such a discussion thread.

Here my tips:

Use the ignore function and the take a break if you think you cannot handle it without getting insane or angry.

If you want to know (in English) what is going on in Switzerland look at :

If you want to know what is discussed in the newspaper around the world see:

For me "last February" would be February 2019. February 2020 would be just "February". Interested to know what everyone else thinks
Last feb is the most recent. So feb 2020.

Isn't it a democratic process here? If more mods support the actions of another mod, then the moderating action is accepted...why one has more to say than the others all together?

Maybe because the actions of few mods are so detrimental to the forum so the owner/person in charge needs to step in?

maybe the owner needs to do some of the lifting?

and one person's opinion of a mod's actions could differ from another person's.

plus mods, as posters, use EF for free and are humans.

like in a pub or bar, you avoid people you don't want to interact with and avoid poking them with a shitty stick (plus ignore them if they poke you with a similar stick).

Having more to say doesn't mean having more say.

Also, if you multiply the volume by the intelligibility, you get an infinitesimally small result.
