Looks like a recipe for disaster to me. Guess they think "likes" are no longer good enough.

Re: EF Tip Jar

Tips are taxable in Switzerland.
Entries in taxform under no. 7 explicitly or under point 1 summarized.

Just thought I avoid all respective questions showing up next March, tax-threads are so bloody boring.

I am amazed how many terrible ideas are constantly devised by social media giants. This is wide open to abuse and will just encourage more inane posting, which is of course the aim.

We could use Twint, but then they would have our mobile number.

Well, given Twitter's recent stock plunge, I gather they had to come up with something more innovative to raise their share price

Re: EF Tip Jar

Have never used Twitter, Instagram and such. My first thought is that it needs at least a 6-pack or boob enhancement, threatened poverty or any other level of an empty life with no prospects to get tipped, but then realized that Trump was a member a long time ago - so it can‘t be seen as only all that if its being seen as a viable business model.

Hmmmm...

No probs... have rolling short call options out on EF typos, but am pretty vanilla equity stock on wrong opinions...

Re: EF Tip Jar

Been on twitter for a long time, I cannot see this really being successful but have noticed the recent shift in their strategy to increase revenue from additional users via all the new monetizable features they push

I thought it worked fine but greed still a driver

No businesses offering "acceptable opinion generator" yet? It will be a great app.

I don‘t think that would go down well with a target audience of, let‘s say, Donald Trump supporters.
