| | Re: Mod shakeup | Quote: | | | | | Maybe you do not know that "start-up" and "sign-up" have different meanings?
"start-up" means;- start something new.
"sign-up" means;- join something existing.
"sign-up" does not mean "start something new".
Now with this explanation in your mind do read your post again. | | | | | "shut-up" would be next in line ?
I didn't want to sound mean - it was just coming at me | The following 2 users would like to thank for this useful post:

I am genuinely sorry to see 22yards and Ace1 removed from the Mod Team in such an abrupt manner, they are both forum stalwarts who did a lot for this place, and were certainly a lot more active than me. Thanks Guys!
I extend a warm welcome to Fatmanfilms, I hope we can all get on, rebuild cohesiveness in the ModZone and start to engage with EditorBob in a meaningful way.

Why don't all the moderators just quit, and anyone else refuse the cursed position?
Let Editor Bob is his cohorts do their jobs?
Imagine?

Imagine? | | | | | Because some of the mods enjoy wielding the position for the wrong reasons and people such as FMF with heavily narcissistic traits enjoy any slight privilege or power over others that they can get. So yeah, of course they wouldn't give it up.

| | Re: Mod shakeup | Quote: | | | | | I guess this illustrates why a system with infractions is not really successful. Instead of acknowledging that they went too far (which they often do) and maybe take it down a few notches, they go and cry to the manager, who promptly sides with the person who screams the loudest and gives them what they want plus a bit more. | | | | | There aren't too many plausible reasons why EB would thank FMF's post (see screenie below). Please note that it dates from the last mod shakeup, implying that the action taken now is anything but short-fused (or based on ignorance, like some imply).
That said, removing mods out of the blue is pretty much the exact opposite of what they deserve. The very least is a friendly "goodbye and thank you", even if they're forced to step down. | The following 2 users would like to thank Urs Max for this useful post:

So yeah, of course they wouldn't give it up. | | | | | You are as narcissist as they come Many of the mods here have abused their position of power many times, if we are being truly objective and honest. You yourself benefited greatly at the expense of others.
Even if a twit like you became a mod one day, I still won't be bleating like a goat, the way you are
