| | Re: Mod shakeup | Quote: | | | | | I tend to agree that if/when a Mod is removed, they should be privy to the discussion or at minimum be informed directly by Editor Bob.
From the numerous discussions around the topic of Mod removal, maybe I am mistaken, but I thought it was not possible for a single Mod (or even 2) to orchestrate/facilitate removal of other Mods.
Can anyone explain the process? | | | | | Never been done, as far as I'm aware. In the past (before I joined) mods may have been persuaded to leave, but I don't think it's ever been done without their awareness and acceptance.
Technically, any mod could remove any other from the Super Moderator group, which would demote them, but some other actions have gone on, removing other mods' abilities outside of that group membership, which isn't something that can be done without real Admin privileges, i.e. by EB.
MC has always refused to answer questions about her remaining in the mod team, which have been raised several times in mod discussions, and which she has certainly seen and ignored. The rest of the team have been powerless to remove her, as EB has also refused to engage any of us in discussion. Yes, one of us _could_ have done the deed, but we've always tried to keep things within the scope of our Moderator roles.

How many of the super mods are actually active members? I personally find it odd that inactive mods have been kept on but active mods have been replaced.
Edit:
Ace1: are you saying MC could have had you and others removed?

Otherwise, does anybody care to explain why I have been demoted in this latest "coup attempt"? | | | | | That would be the right moment for EB or the local to come forward and explain the situation. Sadly this never happened within less than a week before...

| | | | | Not like this, not on her own. Yes, theoretically she could have removed us from the SuperModerator group, but some of the other actions could, I believe, only be done by EB.

I suggest that Mods are elected by members annually, I suggest 01 April (guess why?).
In the month preceeding, candidates can propose themselves.
This is a more democratic approach and like this we can oust the fascist mods. Of course we need a process that rids a mod who goes postal.

C'mon, "Fascist" Mods? Feel free to make a constructive suggestion, but pls put aside the unnecessary rhetoric.
