I'll start.
I do believe there is some anti-women posters on EF and there are times when posters are confronted with their statements. However, I also feel not all the posts above were misogynistic. Instead, Cliini Muus's complaints within those threads were designed to derail the thread for her own purpose. I did not feel Tom1234's posts were mysogynistic at all but more of a call out to stay on topic. I shared his frustration.
Edit: There are times when posts are definitely anti-female which I feel some mods happily ignore or even "like". It's almost like their signalling other posters to jump on the bandwagon because it's a free ride. This is what frustrates me.

There is no misogyny on the EF. Case closed.
There can be a bit of a brawl and both sides can go for some stereotyping and teasing but that's just normal.
I'm more worried how men get to be called names for all and nothing... and women are equally practicing androgyny.

It's also frustrating to see how you deny any misogyny yet accuse others of practising androgyny. Don't you see what you're doing?

If he had stats however on number of interactions then one could definitely infer something rather than observe. (see what i did there ? )

There are xenophobes, racists, homophobes, misogynists and every possible variety of bigots, tossers and smegheads on EF.

olygirl, the problem is how you are interpreting the definition of mysogyny.
Mysogyny is brutal and very aggresive, it's all about humiliating women are seeing them as lower human beings... This term got common because of all the media and such.. but before we'd say 'sexism'.
The thing is, you can not accuse (ever) men here how they're sexist or misogynistic because they're talking, joking, debating, exchanging with women on an equal level.
I said how women can practice androgyny because they actually can (if they want to) Therefore we are equal.

A story from my online Jassing days (Swiss card game).
I use the same nickname but, of course, 99% of the players are Swiss. For some reason, "girl" comes across to some men as an invitation for sex. I've been propositioned a few times and when I reply that I'm only interested in playing Jass, they quit the game.
I never thought my nickname was so suggestive. It comes from a marketing campaign for Olympia beer back in the 70s. It also refers to the place I come from.

The definition of misandry is: dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men (i.e. the male sex).
The definition for misogyny is: dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.
I see far more misogyny on this forum than misandry but I would never go as far as to say it doesn't happen.
To me, the idea that male posters here are dismissing any misogyny and then complaining about misandry is clearly mysogynistic.
(I never thought I'd write a sentence like that )

The thread where this comes from was from and about a guy who is not man enough to throw a trespasser with benefits out of his home. The two posts quoted and then "silenced" refer to this situation in a direct way. Why is this turning into a misogyny discussion?

The definition for misogyny is: dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women. | | | | | Right go on so - produce a small number of posts that demonstrate "dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women." and let's examine that. | Quote: | | | | | To me, the idea that male posters here are dismissing any misogyny and then complaining about misandry is clearly mysogynistic. | | | | | Not "dismissing" - just not "detecting". Until you can produce reasonable evidence your statement about the clarity of any mysoginy is at best anecdotal and at worst indicative of your own misandry.

Why is this turning into a misogyny discussion? | | | | | Well clearly, the OP in that thread needs to "grow a pair" which is considered sexist as it is implying that having testicles will enable one to solve problems. It's really a sticky situation and some female (or castrated male) forum members will be triggered. Probably best to remain silent in this case but then that is also signaling complicity.
