Steps for reporting abusive rep messages

Is it possible the mod's or admin's could please clarify what we should do, if we receive abusive content in rep messages please? Since these are hidden from view, and there's no button to report them, I think some guidance might help please.

Send a PM to all of the current mods. Rep comments are visible to them.

One of them will be able to deal with it for you if there is action that needs to be taken.

If it was someone sending me abusive rep I’d name and shame at peak viewing time.

Which is against forum rules iirc. Report it to the mods and let them deal with it.

Wonder why it is against Forum rules. So you can quote what someone has said on Forum- but not PMs which are often a lot more abusive. Bizarre.

Because things said in private stay private. Report them to the mods so they can deal with them, it's quite simple.

If all else fails then click on the little triangle in the top right corner of your message and you see "Report private message".

Which will hopefully bring a result (any result, except a warning would be great) since the long-awaited overhaul.

Not sure that has much legal standing in RL ''Because things said in private stay private.''

but yes- report to Mods is the way to go.

That doesn’t work for rep comments, they’re not the same as private messages.

How’s about giving useful information once in a while. Many of us do that, instead of trolling our moods out on all. ANd, funnily enough, those people don’t want to contribute to a ‘useful’ forum anymore.

Have a good life, as they say.

I think you’ll find that my post did actually provide useful information unlike this post of yours which clearly doesn’t.

No, but she is in the red rep business herself, the poor girl.

1) suck it up

2) can’t do that? Then stop posting tripe that annoys people.

Simples…

Re: Steps for reporting abusive rep messages

I just wanted to offer a friendly reminder that "rep" in an online forum doesn't really mean anything or have any real value.

I learned that the hard way when, years ago, I once tried to buy something at Migros with some "likes" that I had obtained via Facebook. I was shocked to find out that they don't have any actual value and you can't buy anything with them.
