I tried to ban a Mod once -just for a test. It didn't work. We are invincible! Of course there are those with even more power who can mess us about though. | The following 2 users would like to thank Longbyt for this useful post:

After giving a red rep to a specific message for a specific behavior, the person in questions take revenge with this justification: for drive by repping. tut tut
This is not a rep about a specific message of mine, thus this IS a drive by repping from him. In other words: he is doing exactly what he is falsely accusing me of. I read somewhere that this is not allowed. Does that rule still apply?
Thank you.

Thank you. | | | | | It's considered bad forum netiquette but even if it is disallowed, short of the perpetrator being banned, there's no way to enforce it.

Thank you for your answer, Isha, that corresponds to my experience too. I didn't even start with thanks and groans for that reason, but it seems it is no better with the rep system.

Thank you. | | | | | It seems, maybe, that the person in question thought your rep bad netiquette, for possibly repping them without replying to their post, or adding any value to the thread by perhaps not even commenting on the thread at all. Thus, it would be akin to reading/browsing, and bad repping whatever doesnt tickle your fancy. Not sure if there is a rule for this, or not, but I would probably advise against bad repping comments if you havent had any activity on the forum as it seems petty and somewhat cowardly for want of a better word. But, what do i know. | This user would like to thank JBZ86 for this useful post:
