New feature - embed youtube videos directly in your posts

Update: This feature is now automatic, you don't have to do anything, just copy and paste the link from your browser into a message and it will be processed automatically when you save or preview the message.

Would you like to display a youtube video directly in your postings? I've added some additional functionality to make this very easy.

Let's say that your original youtube URL (the address at the top of your browser) looked like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snPdEl0Duoo

All you have to do is extract out only the unqiue ID of the video, in this case snPdEl0Duoo.

Now highlight the ID and press the "you tube" button in the editor which looks like this:

This will wrap some tags around the ID so you will see something like this:

[youtube]snPdEl0Duoo[/youtube]

If you preview or post your message you'll see it has become something like this:

How does this work?

Remember that you can't just wrap these tags around the full youtube URL directly from your browser, you must wrap them only around the unique youtube ID as I did in the example or it won't work.

Please also remember an additional point. If quoting a message in a reply, please remove the video - it makes no sense if the same video appears again and again in a thread because it has been quoted.
