How do I say thank you?

I was looking for the "thank you" button (usually a thumb up) but couldn't find it. Where is it supposed to be, how can I re-install it should it have gone lost in cyberspace? Thanks from Basel.

I think you're supposed to see that after you've had 15 posts. Or was it 10?

And it doesn't show up in any of the off-topic threads I think!

Thanks for that! It's 10 posts as I just found out and, yes, it doesn't show up in any of the off-topic threads.

Nice blokes here, I must admit :guitar:

Okay and I would've thought I'd get a thank you for that. Ah well ..

It's not available in certain forum areas, for posts older than 14 days and if your account has less than 5 posts or is less than 7 days old.

I did not know there was a statute of limitations for giving credit. It does not seem prima facie that advice should necessarily expire sooner than fresh milk, but I am sure this has been carefully thought through and that those numbers are the result of thorough empirical analyses.

Indeed, the implementation of the thanks feature wasn't taken lightly. As you already may have guessed, thanking is not allowed on Sundays and needs special permission between 23:00-06:00. On the bright side, you get 2% interest on your thanks count at the end of each fiscal year.

What about thanking under the influence? Are there the same limits?

Doesn't matter anywho, I only groan under the influence.

EF management follows a case-by-case approach in this regard. However, users thanking and groaning under the influence are advised to perform regular audits of their thank/groan record, as accidental TUI/GUI might lead to the involuntary creation of a forum nemesis or befriending of forum trolls.

This thread is close to leaving the Forum Support area... enjoy the weekend everybody, now :o;)

I like your kind of humor, guys! Thanks! Reading such language is just one of the reasons why I signed up with this forum. I only hope that I'm understood the way it was to be understood should I try to make a joke one day :)
