Escaping square brackets in URLs?

I recently posted a link to:

=BAD&cHash=9e82d7c97a]Youth Hostel Basel

which, due to the square brackets embedded in the URL (..[bez]..), turned out:

=BAD&cHash=9e82d7c97a]Youth Hostel Basel

Clicking on the link got to the target, but very inelegantly. Is there a vBulletin way of escaping square brackets?

Re: Escaping square brackets in URLs?

Thanks!

I should have thought of it. I know that spaces are encoded %20 in URLs, and should have guessed that other characters have special encodings. led me to URL Encoding -- (or: 'What are those "%20" codes in URLs?').

Re: Escaping square brackets in URLs?

You can see from jrspet's reply that the trick is to enclose the URL in quotes:

e.g -mumble"]title
