Easyjet - website down or just me?

Hi

Have been trying to book flights on Easyjet since yesterday afternoon, but each time I click 'Show flights' after entering details, the homepage just reloads and no flight info!

Have tried ringing and e-mailing Easyjet but keep getting cut off when I ring and they haven't answered my e-mail yet.

Any ideas if it could be some kind of setting on my browser that needs changing? (pop-ups are allowed.)

Thanks in advance

Re: Easyjet - website down or just me?

due to the amount of flights they are cancelling at the moment I'm suprised you can even get to there home page.

had a horror journey with them (or not as the case was) at the weekend, I'll never use an easyxxx company ever again.

Perhaps it is something to do with the fact that most of the airports in the UK are closed and Easyjet is in chaos at the moment

What happened? You had a car booked as well as I remember and were asking about foreign license etc. I have booked the same...

Re: Easyjet - website down or just me?

So not just me then, phew.

Yeah, thought it might be to do with the weather chaos. Surprisingly, nothing on webpage to inform that there are potential problems with their reservation system, which would take a web administrator/IT person no time at all to do. Poor customer service.

Bring on my move to the Schweiz (hubby already out there, so we are all going over early next year if all goes to plan!) Much as I love the homeland that is Blighty, the fact that everything grinds to a halt just because it snows in winter (go figure!) is just a joke.

And lol @ Glendyn. The snow even disrupts the Easyjet website....

I read your thread on your Easyjet blues, bigblue2. Glad you got back in the end. Anyways, could have been worse. You could have been flying Ryanair.

Re: Easyjet - website down or just me?

I had my flight from Luton delayed by 2 hours on Sunday evening, almost missing the last train home, something wrong with the preflight check just before takeoff.
An aquaintance had a similar delay from Luton, also Sunday evening.

Easyjet is just a joke now, any saving you might make, they find another way to charge back to you. They're obviously just relying on their image as the cheap alternative.

well if they carry on as they are they wont be around much longer, they arn't cheap anymore and the service is worse then a joke.

Re: Easyjet - website down or just me?

Easyjet must be one of, if not the worst company in nearly 50 years of flying I have ever flown with, they charge for everything they can think of, are virtually impossible to contact, especially in the UK, and seem to forget that it is passengers that pay their wages. Swiss whilst by no means the best are contactable by phone or email and actually answer any queries I have had. As previously said Easyjet are just trading on the fact they used to be cheap and reasonably reliable, they won't be getting my money in future.

It all depends on your experience though. Swiss are contactable by phone but are just as hard nosed. I was literally begging them to let me reschedule a flight recently and they were like a brick wall.

Easyjet for me, have been efficient and cheap - cheaper than Swiss anyway. The only thing that sends me into spasms is the 20 CHF credit card booking fee which is just highway robbery. The actual flight itself though - no complaints.

But at least you managed to talk to a person, how many times have we read on the forum someone looking for a number to call where there may be someone there to answer a question, quite a few.

and swiss don't charge you 10p per minute to call them when they cancelled your flight. Or tell you to check the website / rebook on the website when they cancel your flight, really, hows that work then? I'm in a departure lounge with no pc, oh right, I can use one of those PAY internet booths just for your website to not be accesable, crash, say my flight hasn't been cancelled etc

no easy company will ever get a penny of my money ever again.

eta

I'm sure when swiss cancel a flight there staff don't dissapear to be replaced with 4 armed police either.
